Medieval Stocks 25-28mm Scale Scenery for Fantasy War Games and RPGs
Crime and punishment. Break the local laws and your character may find himself facing a penalty.
For lesser infractions, the stocks offer a simple, yet effective, method of punishment, both physical and emotional. The basic stock design consists of two boards with circular cutouts that allow for the criminal's head and hands or feet to be immobilized between them.
Here is a rather standard stock that is designed to lock around the offender's head and both hands. The criminal must stand in a stooped position which can be quite painful over any prolonged period.
A second style is designed to ensnare the criminal's feet. He may then sit on the ground during his punishment time.
Of course, part of the punishment would involve displaying the criminal in a public square or other common area, allowing members of the community to verbally and even physically chastise the miscreant for his crimes.
These scenery pieces are scaled for use with 25-28mm games miniatures and can be used in many fantasy game scenarios.

Magical Summoning Circles for 25-28mm Fantasy RPG and War Games
In fantasy role-playing games and table top miniature war games, magic users need a place to conduct their spell casting. Sorcerers will create special sites (often at the conjunctions of ley lines where the earth's natural magic foci are more concentrated) where they can perform their incantations.
Here a couple of terrain game pieces representing summoning circles.
These magical constructs normally have arcane symbols inscribed into the stones.
The 25-28 mm scale magic user miniature figure shown in the photos is for size comparison. Each scenery piece measures about 2 inches (50 mm) in diameter. It would make a good victory objective marker as well as simply a scenic feature on your game table.

Power Generator with Control Console Industrial Scenery for 25-28mm Science Fiction War Gaming
In the future (OK, present and past too), all industrial equipment requires one thing: power! Without a power source, all that fancy equipment is just so much inert metallic junk. So here is a mundane power generator that can be placed in nearly any industrial setting.
The main unit consists of a power turbine. You can see the metallic core though the small vents in the central section.
A control console sits at one end with gauges to measure the power output.
This scenery piece is only about 1-3/8 inches (34 mm) at its tallest point. It can provide good cover for your combatants, but still allows them to fire over the generator during a fire fight.
The generator sits on a base measuring 5 x 3 inches (128 x 75 mm). It is designed to be used with 25 to 28 mm scale miniatures. The scientist figure shown in the pictures is 25mm in scale.

Small Ponds and Lakes as Water Hazards for 15 to 28 mm Scale War Games
Small ponds and lakes can add a different dimension to your table top miniature war games. Primarily they can act as movement obstructions, forcing your ground troops and adventurers to avoid certain sections of the game board. But they can also be used as objective markers: perhaps the terrain feature is the only source of drinkable water in the area, or some particular item needs to be recovered from under the water's surface.
First, we have a few small ponds. The water is shaded in several colors of blue to give a sense of varying depth. The shore consists of bare dirt/sand and small rocks. On the outer edge is a ring of vegetation taking advantage of the presence of water to grow. The ponds are roughly 5 x 4 inches (130 x 110 mm) in size.
The ponds can be used in a range of scales. Here are some pictures with both 28mm and 15mm miniature figures for a scale comparison.
Lastly, here is a larger terrain piece representing a small lake. This piece is roughly 23 x 11 inches (580 x 280mm).
This photo gives a better view of the slightly textured and gloss finish of the water itself.

Snake Goddess of War Statue for Pulp and Fantasy Games in 25-28 mm Scale
The jungle is in the process of reclaiming the ruins of an ancient temple. Moss gross on all surfaces. Small animals and large insects scuttle through the dead leaves and bark strewn across the tiled floor. In the deepening shadows along one wall stands a statue. The once lustrous metal body now carries a patina of verdigris.
An idol to a strange goddess perhaps. Part human, part snake.
She wields a variety of deadly weapons in her multiple arms. This is not a god of peace, but rather one who revels in war. And who likely expects living sacrifices from her followers.
Moss has begun to grow on the statue's base. Water marks streak the stone pedestal.
Designed for use with 25 to 28 mm scale miniatures as shown in the photo.
This scenery piece stands about 3-5/8 inches (92 mm) tall from the bottom of the base to the tip of the statue. The base measures 1-3/4 inches (45 mm) in width.
It can be used in fantasy and pulp adventure scenarios. Perhaps the metal statue can be animated through the actions of her worshipers?

Post Apocalyptic Techo Shrine 25-28mm Scale War Game Scenery
Modern civilization ended with the Fall, a planet-spanning catastrophic event. The world devolved into chaos and anarchy. All high tech systems failed. Generations have passed with the descendants of the original survivors inheriting the new planet, living in the ruins of their lost civilization. They pass on verbal stories of the glories of the past. With each telling, the facts become more eroded, the technology taking on the shroud of myth and magic.
The people have created a techno-deity religion to explain the wonders of the ancients. They build shrines from pieces of pre-collapse technology such as this one. Worshipers leave scavenged bits of pre-Fall tech as offerings at the base of this heavily rusted, decaying piece of scrap.
This scenery piece is designed for use with 25 to 28 mm scale miniatures. The shrine stands about 2 inches ( 50 mm) tall. The base measures approximately 2 inches (50 mm) in diameter.
