Looming out of the swirling mists in a remote valley, large stylized heads carved from local rock stand silently. They stand unmovable, watching... and perhaps waiting.
Who knows what purpose these statues are intended for. Are they tribute to some forgotten deity? Or do they mark a significant geographical location, possibly announcing the boundary of an ancient society?
They can be used in a wide variety of
miniature gaming situations. For
fantasy settings, they can be a
shrine to a particular god. In
action adventure pulp games, they can indicate the location of a forgotten
treasure site. From a
science fiction perspective, they could be the remains of an
ancient interstellar race.
