Frankenstein Mad Science Laboratory Equipment for 25-28 mm Scale Game Miniatures

It looks like our mad doctor has been shopping for new equipment to add to his secret laboratory! Yes, I know it is a bit early to think about the coming Halloween season, but a seasoned scientist should always plan for the future.

Group shot of the 25-28mm scale scenery pieces in the mad scientist's lab.

Here are some closeups of the individual pieces.

Anti-Aircraft Missile Turrets for 25 to 28 mm Scale Table Top Wargames

Defense against airborne attack is a critical requirement for most military operations. These missile turrets provide such protection on a small scale.

The first turret is armed with a pair of anti-aircraft missiles.

A second weapons turret features a somewhat bulkier single missile.

Although designed for anti-aircraft defense, these weapons could be converted to use against ground targets.

The turrets are mounted on bases measuring approximately 1-1/2 inches (38 mm) in diameter. Designed for use with 25 to 28mm scale game miniatures. They could be used as objective markers in various science fiction miniature war games.

A Cthulhu Cult Roadside Shrine Plus A Second Shrine for 25-28mm Tabletop Terrain

Roadside shrines may pop up along any road or path in many game worlds. They come in all shapes and beliefs. Here are two for your consideration.

First, we have one apparently built by follows of the Old Ones from the Cthulhu Mythos by H. P. Lovecraft. The central image belongs to old Cthulhu himself.

The lower carvings of two human skulls indicate the subservient role played by mankind in the greater mythos. Arcane runes are carved into the back of the shrine as well.

Only a stubborn, stunted pale yellow-green lichen grows in the vicinity if the shrine. No other life seems willing to take hold in the area.

The second shrine appears to be of a more recognizable religious following.

Unlike the Cthulhu shrine above, this second one attracts more life forms to it. Grasses, moss, lichens, and more nestle at the base of the stone structure.

Both terrain pieces measure about 2 inches (50 mm) tall and are on bases that are 2 inches (50 mm) in diameter. The fantasy figure is a 25mm miniature included for scale.

Happy New Year 2016!

Greetings to a brand new year - 2016!

I cannot believe that 2015 has already faded into the past. I apologize for the lack of postings here in the last six months. Real life events forced me to set aside much of my terrain building, but I have high hopes that I will get back on track in this new year.

In the meantime, I wish you all a Happy New Year and a great year of gaming in 2016!

Communications Tower for 15 to 28 mm Science Fiction Table Top War Gaming

Maintaining your communications with local and off world forces is important in any setting. Sometimes all you need is a small personal communications device. Even these require some type of central processing system. Here is a communications tower for just that purpose.

An array of com equipment rises from the top of the tower, including a dish and antenna mast. Smaller blisters house additional components.

This com tower can be used as a victory objective in many science fiction miniature table top war games. Perhaps your troops need to access the tower to plant demolitions to destroy an enemy's communications systems.

This scenery piece stands about 5-3/4 inches (145 mm) in height. The base is 2-3/4 x 2-3/8 inches (70 x 60 mm), The 25mm science fiction miniature provides some scale comparison.

Mad Science Transfiguration Ray 25 to 28 mm Scale Game Miniature Scenery

There's something new in the mad scientist's laboratory. This piece of lab equipment looks rather sinister in design, what with the large central projector hovering over the reclining exam table!

Of course, this scale scenery piece does not necessarily have to be an evil organic transfiguration ray. Perhaps it is simply a medical diagnostic system.

The device is controlled by the power station and control console located on the right.

This scenery piece measures about 4 inches (100 mm) in length. It can be used with many science fiction 25 to 28 mm scale game miniatures.
